Math 1010

For this eportfolio assignment - Work on 2 out of 3 posted projects, pick one to upload on your ePortfolio site along with a reflection entry.

Reflection: First of I want to start out by thanking my group members. Angie Peffer, Natasha Maxwell, Mike Hendrickson and Nicolai Clawson.

This project shows that math can be applied in many aspects of our everyday life and business situations. This project in particular covered maximizing profits, taking the types products manufactured and the number of available hours to determine the greatest profit. I don’t know if this project changed the way I think about how math can be applied in the real world, but it enforced math’s importance in my everyday life. First off working within a group setting, a few people had slightly differing ideas on how to solve the same problem. We went through the brainstorming process and came up with a universal way to solve the problem. In the end our solution was an effective explanation of the problem provided. It can be tested and checked, and will provide for maximum profit in this scenario.
